Case study: Water wall in Toorak

Brief:
Create a water wall that provides a strong visual impact for an office entry foyer that is located at the end of a long corridor. The water wall needs to feature the client’s logo, both as functional signage and to reinforce the client’s branding. Given its indoor position and the fact that the office is carpeted, there should be no splashing and the water wall needs to be easily maintained.

Solution and design:
A solid black granite water wall with a flamed textured surface. The flamed textured surface creates an even and visual water flow that does not splash, and enables the use of a narrow trough. The black granite shows the water flow from a long distance and can be seen from the other end of the corridor and street entrance. Also, it gives a fabulous contrast to the blues in the client’s logo, creating a stunning visual.
